Problem/Objective
KCCR found bullet holes on a relatively new roof system. The roof system was in great shape, but it was leaking from bullet holes.
Solution
Installation of moisture vent to allow moisture to release and dry the insulation that was still wet. Torch 3-course Derbigum Modified Bitumen perimeter around moisture vent.
Results
This customer's roof system is water tight with the addition of the moisture vent. Instead of tearing out the affected area on a new roof system, the moisture vent will allow any remaining moisture to release and dry the affected insulation. The customer will not have to worry about premature roof failure, deck rot, or blistering around the affected area.
